We had a very friendly welcome from Andrew and Clare which set the tone for our stay. The room was very tidy and cosy, everything we needed was there. The bed was very comfortable too. The location is ideal.

I have just spent 2 nights at The Mayfair and it was a really wonderful little place. Within walking distance of the train station, town and most importantly the beach. I couldn’t fault the breakfast it was delicious. Clare and Andrew were really lovely and really made you feel welcome. Looking forward to planning another visit soon.

I stayed here for a couple of nights over the new year and it was the perfect place for a little escape. Clare and Andrew are excellent hosts and made my stay even more enjoyable. My arrival was disrupted due to various issues but they were understanding and accommodated the changed plan which l really appreciated. The whole place is so cozy and has a homely feel to it, including the lounge which is a lovely spot for relaxing, reading, playing games etc. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place. Great location, stunning view of the sea, Clare and Andrew are amazing host's and look after you very well, cooked breakfast is plentiful and also a good choice of cereal, tea coffee biscuits towels are in the rooms, I highly recommended this lovely hotel right on the beach

Thank you for our fabulous stay at the Mayfair, was greeted well despite a mini crisis was happening outside with a poor infant who had badly injured her hand, anything needed then all you to do was ask, room was spotless and well catered for with tea/coffee and biscuits plus some lovely cake available in the lounge, could not fault a thing and would be a first choice on a return to Weymouth,

A lovely guesthouse along Weymouth’s Seafront. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic full English breakfast. Hosts extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area. Booked to stay just before Christmas, so took a tiny Christmas tree. It wasn’t necessary as one already in the room with some chocolate treats. A very thoughtful addition. Highly recommend a stay here.

Just got back from a fantastic three night stay.Andrew and Clare couldn’t of been more helpful.The breakfast was the best in Weymouth definitely woul go back.

This is the absolute epitome of a quality, British seaside bed and breakfast.Every attention to detail makes the hotel very homely and comfortable with a distinctive nod to its coastal theme. Perfect hosts Andrew and Claire made us feel very welcome and breakfast was made into a great social experience with Andrew drawing conversation from all tables.Food was beautiful and plentiful.Location overlooking the sea was perfect and convenient for the stroll into town etc.Absolutely 100% recommend the Mayfair and will definitely be back .

We had a very pleasant stay here. Andrew and Clare are very warm and hospitable, the breakfast consisted of a wide spread of fresh fruits, cereals and yoghurts, and of course, the piping hot freshly cooked English breakfast!

This is my second stay at the Mayfair, and once again it didn't disappoint.Andrew and Clare are friendly and welcoming at all times. They maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness, prepare and serve excellent breakfasts, and Clare bakes superb cakes which are freely available along with tea or coffe on your return from a day out.Nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in an excellent location and is ideally placed for visiting all that the Dorset coast and surrounding area has to offer. I shall definitely be visiting it again

We were impressed by so many rave reviews that we booked 2 nights at the Mayfair.Loved everything about The Mayfair !Lovely couple, lovely room, delicious breakfast, great snacks, perfect location (especially if you are traveling by train) and a well lit lounge to play an evening game after dinner. The room we had was on the top floor and was amazing.Very clean, spacious and the sea view was superb.Good selection of teas and coffees (although no caffeinated coffee)Although we didn’t have the breakfast, I’ve heard it’s very good so the next time we stay we will have it.Will definitely be back :)

We spent five nights at The Mayfair in July 2024. Our stay was very pleasant and relaxing, and the days just flew by! The breakfast was great, and the homemade cakes were also a highlight.Clare and Andrew made us feel very welcome and also gave us some good tips regarding things to do and places to visit in the region.We would definitely like to stay at The Mayfair again on our next visit to South England!

The Mayfair is clean and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. I was there on holiday and the view is wonderful and the location was unbeatable for a keen bather like myself.

The hotel was clean and the food was excellent while both hosts were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The location was fantastic being across the road from the beach which was clean and clear watered. The only negative was the size of the room and having the washbasin in the bedroom and not in a very cramped bathroom

Andrew and Claire couldn’t be any more welcoming if they tried! Our stay really was a home from home.Our room had a wonderful sea view and a very comfortable bed. Lots of tea’s, coffee’s and a clean room every day. Our room was spotless! We even had a robe each along with shampoo and body washes etc.Breakfast was 10/10 for us, not only was there a fry up but a range of lovely fruit with yoghurt, toast, cakes and drinks. We honestly wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else next time we visit Weymouth.Look forward to seeing you guys again soon. You made our stay absolutely perfect.Donna and Olly. Xx

We had a very lovely 3 night stay the Mayfair. Andrew and Clare are extremely attentive, experienced hoteliers. And we, as well as our dog Cooper could not have wished for a better start to our two week holiday. Breakfast was second to none, and we recommend this lovely place to anyone wanting to explore Dorset!

I stayed here for 4 nights in the single room overlooking the sea on the first floor. Lovely view and nice room. Super breakfasts. Andrew and Clare were really kind and helpful. It's been a delightful stay.

Both my wife and I have just had a most enjoyable four night stay and found it very comfortable, we was greeted well good room comfortable room and bed. The breakfast was really good and let's not forget the freshly baked cake every day. Right on the beach a few minutes from the station we could not ask for better once again thank you for our stay

We were made very welcome.Lovely clean room, lots of little extras made it feel like home from home. Great choice of foods at breakfast. Very well placed for all amenities, car parking around the corner, beach and sea across the road.

A really relaxed atmosphere. Claire and her helpers were friendly, chatty and helpful. It is a very well run B&B , clean, tidy and well organised. The breakfasts were excellent, and on request an early breakfast was accommodated with no fuss. I will definitely revisit on my next trip to the Jurassic coast, for which it is ideally located

We were met by Clare on arrival and her welcome was fantastic . She showed us our table fir breakfast then took us to our room even offering to carry our cases. Breakfast was great plenty of choice and wewere even offered moreover the cooked choice if we wanted. Cakes and coffee on offer in lounge to help yourself to as well .All in all a great stay and nothing was too much trouble well done all .

What a gem of a place! We had a sea view room and we were welcomed with the glorious beach every morning, a great way to start the day. Our hosts were friendly, and explained we had use of the lounge area, with access to fridge/ extra coffee/tea making facilities and cake! (Which was good cake by the way!) the bed was extremely comfortable, and bedding was of great quality. Shops, pubs, restaurants are all close at hand.Would highly recommended, we will certainly return.

Good location site front of sea beachFeeling warm like home

We have visited Weymouth several times staying in B&B’s along the front. On our arrival Clare was very welcoming and did have a parking permit available, however we’d already paid for parking which is as cheap as chips. The guest house is located in a perfect location, very clean and we both agreed the breakfast is by far the best we have ever had. Thank you Clare & Andrew for a lovely stay and we hope to stay with you again in the near future. Kate & Rob.

Before our arrival we had a good rapour with Claire who is absolutely lovely.We along with our pomeranian CocoLola stayed for 2 nights. The accommodation was great, the location perfect and the hospitality was second to none!The room was spotless,breakfast was the yummiest; overall the effort and thoughtful fine details (homemade cakes, doggie bowls and so much more) made our experience memorable. Claire is very welcoming and it's useful having the parking permit. Breakfast was great, bed was very comfortable and location being right on the front was perfect. Would recommend.

Stayed two nights for the Weymouth Half Marathon.My stay was made by the extra mile the owner went to make sure my stay was welcoming and friendly it definitely was.The breakfast was one of the best full frys I have had excellent ingredients lovely food.I will be back again for sure Many Thanks .

This was a birthday treat for my mum who turned 80 at the end of 2023. Unfortunately between the time of booking and the trip date, mums mobility deteriorated so they weren’t able to spend the length of time originally booked. However, Clare (owner) was amazing and accommodated the change with no fuss. Mum & dad have wowed about their trip since arriving home. They said their room was stunning, the food great and the owners really helpful.If they could, they would definitely stay again. Thank you Clare for looking after them so well.

Arrived in the pouring rain after travelling from the Midlands , thought about cancelling at the last minute but so glad we didn't . From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome shown to our Seaview room which was lmaculate deor was beautiful as it was through the rest of the accommodation. Bed was really comfortable plenty of room to store our clothes ect. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and presentation was immaculate not to mention the homemade lemon drizzle cake..... we will definitely be returning soon

Lovely Hotel,5 minutes from train station and beach less than 2 minutes away across the road. Amazing views from dining room. Excellent hosts.Room just the right size, ensuite with shower, tea and coffee available in room. Andrew and Claire, the owners, were excellent since the beginning. After travelling all the way from London in a winter Sunday evening, I had a warm reception at the Mayfair front door. There were cakes and fruits, and Andrew even prepared me a delicious sandwich after learning that the nearby restaurants were already closed. The house is cozy and the rooms very confortables. I got an amazing sea view from the 2nd floor. The full English breakfast was superb!! Totally recommend this charming B&B.

We have traveled many places around the world and this may be the best B&B experience we've had. Claire and Andrew made us feel like we had come home. Nothing was too much trouble Their kindness, friendliness and excellent breakfasts made our stay 1st class. They are located convenient to everything with beautiful views of the famous weymouth beach across the road.

The Mayfair is a beautiful house on the seafront.Claire and Andrew are lovely, welcoming you like old friends of the family.Our room was charming, clean, a very comfortable bed, tv, working wifi and of course an ensuite bathroom.There was plenty of various teas and coffee with cookies if we fancied a nibble in the room.The cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful with as well the choice of yogurts, fresh fruit prepared daily andcereals if we fancied. All served with tea, fresh coffee and orange juice. The atmosphere was happy with Andrew’s banter and ability to keep a watchful eye on his guests’ needs.Claire bakes beautiful cakes we could help ourselves with in the afternoon with tea or coffee. Always welcome after a good walk/outing around the area.We spent a happy few days there and will come again.

From the minute Andrew opened the door and took our case, to coming out to say goodbye to us, we could not have asked for a better place to stay.From the lovely cakes freshly made, to the delicious choices of breakfast. My husband and I loved our stay at the mayfair, Clare and Andrew couldn't be more welcoming, loved the homemade cake everyday and the buffer table of cereals fruit and yogurt was the best, along with the cooked breakfast which was perfect everyday, the little extras made it special from the well equipped tea tray and toiletries, to the little scissors to open the sauce packets in the morning, and the accessories available for the beach, our bed was enormous no fighting for covers lol, we had a lovely sea view and although the occasional noise outside was irritating we didn't let it ruin our stay, Andrew was amazing with helping us with parking which we were very grateful, the recommendations for food in the welcome pack was very helpful, all in all we had a great time and the bacon was the best I ever tasted 😊 thankyou Andrew and Clare for making our 15th Anniversary fantastic

Another wonderful stay at "the Mayfair". I had already been here last year and was immediately in love. No one can beat Andrew and Clare, really.This year I brought my sister because I really wanted to introduce her to the Mayfair and Andrew and Clare. She totally loved it straight away too. She was utterly blown away by the hospitality of Andrew and Clare.I can speak for myself and my sister when I say that the Mayfair is the only place we ever holiday in Dorset and we can't wait to see Andrew and Clare again!

We stayed with Clare and Andrew 17th to 21st july and can honestly say it was the best stay we have ever enjoyed. The owners were so welcoming and friendly and thaplace was spotless, beautiful room and the breakfast was to die for,all manner of cereal,yoghurts,and every fruit you could think of followed by a hearty full English.Clare baked a different cake daily and in the residents lounge there was tea and coffee available as well as a fridge for the use of residents. I visited Weymouth to attend an art workshop taking place near the clock tower so looked for the nearest available place to stay for a few nights.What a find! Was bowled over by the comfy single sea view room, the meticulous attention to detail,generous hospitality, including beautifully baked cakes in the lounge and towels for the beach.Lovely breakfast, including fresh fruit, local produce and poached eggs to order! Clare and Andrew were welcoming and thoughtful and made my stay really special.Thank you! I came just for the weekend and wish to return already!

Wow what a great place to stay. Andrew and Clare are fabulous hosts. The room was excellent with a very comfy bed and lovely view. Everything we needed (and more) was available in our room with a great selection of drinks and fresh water provided daily. Clare’s breakfasts were fantastic and so freshly cooked. The range of fresh fruits were outstanding, I have never seen such a wide choice anywhere. And Clare’s cakes were the best. Personally the Dorset apple cake was my favourite though hubby liked the fruit cake. We liked our stay so much we booked for next year before we left….need I say more

We had a very nice stay here. A very clean, small bed & breakfast with a great breakfast and daily freshly baked cake in the afternoon. Good location between the beach, city centre and train station.

My partner and I, have just stayed at the Mayfair for a week, we were given a hearty welcome by Andy and Clare, the location is excellent, and the facilities at the hotel were first class, the breakfast certainly "set us up" for the day, we will definitely be going back, we would recommend anyone visiting Weymouth, to try the Mayfair.

We are from the US and wanted to have a seaside holiday and to explore the Jurassic Coast. The Mayfair was quite a find. Very reasonable price, very clean and well appointed and the location right on the beach couldn't have been better. But what made the place were the hosts - Clare and Andrew were spectacular. Very helpful in informing us in the important bits on how to get around and where to eat or hike. They breakfasts were amazing. We cant say enough good about this B&B. Very highly recommended. If we come back to Weymouth we will be staying here!

We Loved our stay at The Mayfair, we shall return.A Couple nights right on the seafront, near all key locations, it was ideal for everything. On top of that we were warmly welcomed and the hosts made sure everything was in okay throughout, the free cake was literally top of the pudding.The room was spotless & the breakfast was perfect with lots to chose if you didn’t fancy the full English.Only issue is no allocated hotel parking, but if you’re lucky go to a the car park directly behind the hotel, it’s far cheaper than the main car parks @ £6 a day.

This lovely seafront B&B is a real find. The rooms are stylish and immaculately clean. Breakfast is both delicious and ample. The hosts, Clare and Andrew, have an amazing attention to detail, and are eager to make sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Certainly somewhere we'd go back to.

Thanks to Andrew and Claire we had a great stay over 4 nights, they are the most helpful, informative and sociable guys that we have ever stayed with. Super breakfast plenty of tea and coffee available all day and Claire makes the loveliest cakes all of which is free of charge. Is was such a lovely place. Excellent breakfast and always a helpful idea from our hosts Clare & Andrew.

We had a fab 3 night stay here in Mid May. Myself and my husband had a sea view double room on the top floor and Mother-in-law had a single sea view on the first floor. The rooms were well equipped and had some lovely extras too. Breakfast had a great selections of cereals, fruit and yogurt along with the cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for Andrew and Clare and they were so welcoming from the minute we walked in. The parking permit was very helpful and we managed to park very close by. The complimentary homemade cakes were amazing too! We will definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a B+B in Weymouth.

With all the traveling we've done over the years this, strangely enough, is our very first B&B stay. What a wonderful experience! Our next stays in B&Bs will have a monumental act to follow.Concerned about our sleep (they asked) and our mattress was changed for the next night. Breakfasts were delicious and a truly great variety of hot and cold. Unlimited coffee or tea if that was what got you going.Clare and Andrew are very friendly and warm. And a crisis on our part on the morning of departure was handled with care and tenacity on Andrew's part.We, quite honestly, couldn't ask for anything or anyone better!

I have to be honest, The Mayfair exceeded my expectations by a long way! Perfectly situated opposite the clock tower on the seafront and decorated to a very high standard. Clare and Andrew felt more like friends than B&B owners and were both extremely welcoming. I had a single room which was spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. The added touch was that all of the bed linen and towels smelt as though they had literally just come out of the washing machine and that’s something you don’t find these days - very homely! Breakfast was plentiful; fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, full english, tea, coffee, orange juice… it was all there and the sausage and bacon were clearly premium. Two things that I don’t like on a cooked breakfast are fried bread and those horrible triangular hash browns and that’s not something served - so again, a massive thumbs up! Guests are even treated to cakes that they can help themselves to, along with hot drinks throughout the day - this is something I’ve never experienced before either. On the train home, I was thinking about what didn’t work well or something that I could suggest for improvement… 8 hours later and nothing has come to mind. Thank you for a wonderful stay and your exceptional hospitality, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Mayfair and felt very well looked after.

This was our first stay at The Mayfair. We had read the reviews and had been impressed by them so had booked a visit.We travelled by train and had emailed to change our arrival time. We had a prompt and friendly reply toour message.We when arrived we were met and shown around by Clare. The lounge had a sea view, with even some binoculars on the table if needed. There were three comfortable sofas, with tea and coffee supplies, a selection of homemade cake and even a fridge to store items if you wished.We were then shown our double room with an bathroom including a shower. We had keys to the two front doors and our room so we could come and go as we wished.Breakfast was served between 9am to 10am and was great. There was a full cooked breakfast, with as much toast as you wanted, and plenty of tea, coffee and orange juice served by Andrew while Clare was the cook. I noticed someone else had poached eggs on toast.There was also a buffet table with cereals, a variety of yogurts, a fruit compote, fresh fruit cut up, pots of porridge that just needed boiling water added before eating and a fruit bowl that was available all day.We ended up having a very enjoyable breakfast and only having room for some brought sandwiches and the homemade cakes for tea in the lounge watching the sea.The whole accommodation was warm and spotless. With even some umbrellas by the front door incase it was raining!Clare and Andrew were around during the day if we had any questions.We were very impressed by our hosts and the accommodation, and will definitely be going back for another stay. We were made to feel welcome by Andrew as soon as we stepped through the door, the little touches from matching robes and sweets in the room on arrival was perfect. The freshly baked cakes Clare made every day was another perfect touch. Room 5 has the best view you could ever want. We will definitely be returning.

The Mayfair is perfectly situated and close to the beach, town centre and car park. Andrew and Clare were perfect hosts, very welcoming with a warm friendly personality, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing, beautifully cooked and presented by Clare, plenty of cereals and choices of fresh fruit with a selection of yogurts also available. Andrew made sure we had plenty of toast and our cups were always full of coffee. He is very knowledgeable of the area and interesting places to visit and also recommended places to eat. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a lovely large bathroom, the biscuits, tea and coffee were replenished daily. Clare's complimentary daily homemade cake was delicious especially the Apple Dorset Cake'. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. Thank you both.

We had such a lovely stay at the Mayfair guest house and we were made so welcome by Clare and Andrew, above and beyond would be my description from a really comfortable room to an excellent breakfast, Andrew and Clare made sure we did not leave hungry! Not to mention the all day supply of fresh baked cakes that were readily available. We travelled to Weymouth by train and the Mayfair is close to the station right opposite the clock on the seafront and a short stroll to the harbour. It was a lovely stay and many thanks to our hosts.

They could not have been friendlier or done more to make us welcome and comfortable - from free cake on arrival, a fantastic buffet as well as cooked breakfast, and helping us in a number of different ways.

From arriving to leaving the experience was absolutely fantastic, Clare & Andrew both went above and beyond. Rooms are fantastic with great toiletries, tea, coffee, hot choc, biscuits. Cakes homemade daily by Clare which are yummy. The lounge area is great, breakfast is a feast from full english, to all kinds of fruit, yoghurts, cereals, jams, nutella. They catered well for dietary requirements i had. They even got upa nd made tea, toast etc for us at 05.15am ready for our race which they did not need to butdid as this is the way they are. Both bubbly happy people. I just cant recommend the place and the hots enough it was that good and i will never stop anywhere else in Weymouth. Thank you Clare & Andrew

Just returned from a week at the Mayfair and the hotel was everything we could have wanted,the room was very clean and comfortable, even had bathrobes hanging up.Andrew and Claire went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect making sure we were enjoying our stay and also with knowledge of weymouth and things to see and do.The hotel is situated right on the seafront and only a short walk to shops,restaurants and the lovely harbour.Breakfast was lovely and there was a really good choice to set you up for the day,also Claire made delicious cakes daily. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel and we just paid via the app and it was safe.Thankyou Andrew and Claire for an amazing time,we have never been looked after so much, felt sad to leave but we will be back next year.

My husband and I loved our 3 nights stay at The Mayfair. Room 12 had amazing views, extremely comfortable bed and was very spacious. I visit Weymouth every year, but its the first time I have stayed at the Mayfair, and I will definitely return. Perfect location; immaculate room with excellent view; and Claire and Andrew have thought of everything you need to feel welcome and have a comfortable stay. The food was also excellent - a wonderful range of fruit for breakfast, and locally sourced ingredients for the full English; plus fruit available all day, along with home made cake - delicious!

A great location and a wonderful stay. Andrew and Clare we're the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble.We had room 8 which had a great sea view with 2 windows and armchairs so that you could take full advantage of it.For breakfast there was a large buffet table which amongst other items included a big selection of fresh fruit and yoghurt and cereals. There was also a freshly cooked full English breakfast.During the day lovely fresh baked cakes were available free of charge in the dining room.A parking permit was also available for your to use.Altogether a great stay and we would thoroughly recommend.

Just returned from The Mayfair - perfect location at the beach front close to all amenities Weymouth has to offer.I had a very comfortable single Deluxe bedroom with panoramic views of the Clock Tower and Esplanade. Bedroom and accommodation throughout was spotlessly clean.Hosts Andrew and Clare both gave me a warm welcome and provided helpful information on places to visit and bus services. My Breakfast was superb with plenty of hot/cold choices that set me up for the day.Thank you Andrew and Clare for your hospitality I would not hesitate to stay at the Mayfair when I return again.

We spent 7 wonderful days at the Mayfair. Thank you so much, Clare and Andrew, for the warm welcome, the perfect breakfast and the atmosphere. We got a lot more than we had expected. Travelling by train the Mayfair is easy to reach and the bus stops are not far away either. The sea view from the dining room is overwhelming. All in all, the Mayfair is the perfect accomodation if you want to explore the stunning Jurassic Coast.

From the moment I booked our stay Andrew was so accommodating as I said we would only be arriving late on Wednesday 1st June, around 4 hours later than there usual latest check in time and this was no problem at all. Due to it being a busy time to visit I even got a message from Andrew on our drive down there with directions to different car parks to make the start of our stay in Weymouth as smooth as it could be, this was so kind of him. When we arrived he was so welcoming and really did make us feel at home. Every morning at breakfast Andrew and Claire were so friendly, making the effort to chat to all of there customers it really made the difference to our stay and even having Nutella ready on the table every morning because I had some on the first day. It's personal touches like that that go a long way and I will definitely be returning at some point in the future! Thanks again Andrew and Claire it has been an absolute pleasure, we've had the best weekend!

We have just had a five night stay at the Mayfair. The guest house has a great location right next to the beach and a short stroll to the restaurants and bars. Everything was top notch. It’s extremely clean, welcoming and comfortable. It has a nice relaxed feel about it. The hosts, Andrew and Claire, are superb. As well as being very friendly they go the extra mile to ensure that guests are happy there. Breakfast time is a very enjoyable experience with Claire’s wonderful cooking and Andrew’s service and entertainment. Claire even baked cakes for the guests. Beach towels and mats are also provided. What makes a Bed and Breakfasts good is the direct and personal involvement of the owners. Claire & Andrew are second to none, they make you feel like one of the family.The Mayfair in Weymouth is perfectly situated, its was clean with a comfortable bed, great breakfast, and a wide range to choose from, Claire even made me a sugar free cake (big kiss for that) Claire and Andrew where the perfect hosts we will return.

On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Andrew and Claire. Andrew showed us to the room which had an amazing view of the sea and the clock tower. The room was immaculate and bed was very comfy. There was plenty of teas, coffee, milk, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Andrew recommended various places to visit as well as to eat and drink. Both Andrew and Claire were very helpful and nothing was too much to ask. The breakfast is fantastic with a spread of wide varietyas well as a cooked breakfast available as well. Andrew chats to everyone at breakfast. Claire bakes awesome cakes which you can help yourself anytime. Stayed at the Mayfair for 3 nights and Clare & Andrew where lovely hoists, the guest house was clean and fresh, breakfast was fab you could have as much or little as you wanted. Rooms were clean with ample tea or coffee supplied also a nice snack in the afternoon, there is also parking just around the back of the Mayfair. all in all a very comfortable 3 nights stay would recommend. We enjoyed our stay. The room was at the back of the hotel, so nice and quiet, and was entirely adequate. We did find the bed far harder than we were accustomed to but the friendliness of the hosts was far above what we expected. Breakfast was great and there was a good choice. Being right on the beachfront was also a big bonus. I’d be happy to go back again.

The Mayfair is a lovely property, which is directly on the seafront. The hosts are a wonderful, friendly couple who will ensure you enjoy your stay. We had a seaview room on the first floor which had a large comfortable bed. There was very little noise from outside.There was a very good choice for breakfast and the food was perfectly cooked.Although, The Mayfarir doesn't have it's own parking there is a small public car park directly behind the premises.We will definitely return.

A really pleasant stay. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent. My wife is a coeliac and our hosts went out of their way to cater for her dietary needs. Will definitely visit again. Will look to book a sea-view room in future!

Dad and I had a great time in Weymouth. We haven’t visited the town for years. The Mayfair was fabulous. Large, clean, airy room and en-suite with sea views. Comfortable beds. Large selection for breakfast - cereals, cooked, fresh fruit, freshly baked bread. Freshly baked cakes in the afternoon. Ideally situated on the seafront, and just a short walk from both the main shopping area and the station.Our hosts, Andrew and Claire, are lovely. We could not have asked for better hosts. Very welcoming, helpful, friendly and very funny! (Congratulations on becoming Grandparents! 🎊🎉🥂🍾)I would recommend the Mayfair to anyone wanting to visit Weymouth and am looking forward to a return visit. Most of the other guests, when we were there, werereturning guests.Six stars all the way!

A marvellous little gem of a hotel. Andrew and Claire were the perfect hosts. Comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast and home made cake. What more could we ask for?

I enjoyed my stay at The Mayfair so much that I’ve booked to go back in a few weeks time!Andrew and Clare are wonderful hosts; nothing is too much trouble, breakfast is great with all you need to set you up for the day: fresh fruit, yogurt, home made fruit compote, cereals and traditional full English with toast.Then, you get back from your adventures to find Clare has made cake to enjoy with a cuppa in the lounge (or your room if you prefer!). Lemon drizzle, rock cakes, Victoria sandwich and banana cake were on offer during my stay.Clean and comfortable throughout, The Mayfair is a home from home that exceeded my (high) expectations.Looking forward to next time.

I've been coming to the Mayfair for around 12yrs. Always clean & friendly, excellent food. New owners this year, but the excellent standards continue. Looking forward to next year.

1st time meeting Clare & Andrew. Same beautifully clean rooms, fab range on the breakfast menu, so friendly, nothing too much trouble. We can't wait for our next stay, thank you!

It's like being home but better.Someone makes your breakfast and clears it away, brings you tea and toast, as much as you want,, and tidies up.Clare and Andrew are fabulous and you could not wish for better hosts.Nothing is too much trouble.The breakfast is first class and plentiful.We even had free homemade cakes, which were yummy! We will see you in November for our third and last trip of the year.Then we will see you next year.

What can i say about the mayfair that countless other guests say when they are about to leave.... yes when can we come back again. The warm welcome directions to the car park and a genuine lovely to see you greeting before you set foot into the premises. Then you look around and see where you are... Actually on the beachPrice wise very very competitive but you can't put a price on the service you get from Andrew and Claire. To name but a few... wrapped up breakfast (double stacked in my case) as was going on an early day out freshly baked cakes daily or nightly in our case great knowledge of surrounding places to see but we could go on and on but please please book and see for yourself. Thank you Andrew and Claire and yes we will be back

Having stayed here before we wondered what changes the new owners (Andrew & Claire) would make, if any.We didn’t need to worry, as we immediately felt at home, with a friendly welcome, and great banter from the off.They made us feel comfortable, and nothing we asked for was too much trouble.All in all another restful and relaxing few days at our favourite home from home - The Mayfair!Thank you Andrew & Claire, we hope to see you again, and soon.Chris & Cheryl

good location right on front. parked at rear of hotel using pass for £4 all day and night. Breakfast very good, good choice and hot. good size rooms. Only problem was we were on top floor and we have mobility problems. would definately stay there again if we could get on lower floor.

Andrew and Clare are welcoming hosts and made for a very relaxing stay. Rooms are very clean with added extra special touches. Location is fantastic with everything we needed within walking distance. Just had a 4 day break at the MayfairAndrew and Clare are great hosts, very warm and welcoming. Bathroom stocked with shampoo, shower gel, soap.Great range of tea's in room. Nothing was too much trouble.Lovely cooked breakfast in morning, clare's poached eggs were perfect every time.Great location highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay with Andrew and Claire really nice couple very welcoming and happy to help with any information/inquiry, the room was well stocked and clean, fresh cakes made for you to help yourself to go with a lovely cup of tea.Breakfast was lovely full English fresh fruit everyday ( lots of other things on offer if you don't want that) if you have any dietary needs dont hesitate to ask they are more than happy to accommodate if possible ????

Just stayed for 10 nights at the Mayfair, What a wonderful place to stay it was like home from home, Andrew & Clare were absolutely Fantastic Hosts nothing was too much! even Clare's home made cakes daily which were fabulous!! the room was amazing & Spotless, Comfortable and lots of space and very quiet. Perfect location opposite the beach, lots to do in Weymouth and surrounding area. Andrew was always giving us good advice for places to visit and good restaurants to dine out at. We had breakfast every morning which was great value for money it was to die for. Quite honestly if we go back to Weymouth we wouldn't stay anywhere else ..... We Didn't want to leave. Thanks for the beautiful decor it was a wonderful start to our honeymoon your hotel is clean, welcoming and ideally situated.The breakfast is top drawer and Clare and Andrew are the perfect hosts.Myself and Diane cannot praise you highly enough for giving us such a perfect start to our married life. Ideal location, Weymouth beach is right in front of the guesthouse. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops.The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Covid safety measures are in place. A section of breakfast available.Our room was lovely and clean, plenty of tea,coffee and herbal teas, biscuits, fresh water. Andy & Claire are superb hosts and will recommend the best options of what you want from your stay. A comfortable room and generous breakfast tailored to your liking. Right on the beach front and within easy reach of attractions, they have a superb location but maintain very reasonable rates. A very friendly welcome and helpful throughout your stay.

Such an excellent hotel. Had a lovely few days and wish we had been staying a few days more We could not have been made more welcome and they were always keen to go the extra mile to make your stay as nice as possible Great breakfast which sets you up for the day I would recommend this hotel to any couple going to Weymouth.

There are so many positives about this stay so I will run through themAmazingly friendly hosts - I have stayed in many different accommodations and I've never met hosts as pleasant as Andrew and Clare. They made my wife and I feel like family friends coming over to stay, it was an exceptional experience. They helped us carry our large amount of luggage all the way to our room and also provided us with discount coupons for the car park, which is only located just behind the hotel.Delicious breakfast with lots of option - we went for a full English most mornings which was a bargain considering the price we paid. There was fruits, yoghurt, cereal, fresh juice, everything you would need at a breakfast.Cleanliness - not only our room, but all the communal areas were exceptionally cleanHandy towel and beach accessories - we were provided with clean beach towels, mats, umbrellas, windbreaker and more, ready to use at our convenience.Beautiful accommodation - the view looking out to the north sea was beautiful, especially when tucking into a delicious breakfast, the beachfront location was perfect for what we needed, there are places to eat only a couple minutes away down the street in both directions, the decor was very homely and inviting, there are leaflets provided to help explore Weymouth and Portland, the lighting throughout the building was great and to top it off, there was often free cake to come back to after a long day basking in the sun.This is the only place I will be staying when I'm in Weymouth, truly a wonderful place with the most amazing hosts.

Hospitality was great. We had a double room (number 8).Four Poster bed en suite. Breakfast lots of choices. Cooked or fruit choice. Very,very lovely. Anything extra you needed for your room was done and placed by the doors Lovely views across Weymouth Bay through large windows.

So after a year and a bit of being home we finally got to return to lovely Weymouth.The weather was amazing with just about an hour of rain all week.We had a Seaview room so we watched with amusement, I know we are meanies, as people ran for cover or stoically stayed on the beach.The Mayfair was, as always, really lovely.Our room, complete with bathrobe, was spotlessly clean and we had amazing views of the beach and cruisers in the bay.The biscuits, Moores, and the local tea alsoreally good a nice touch.Its close enough to town without the noise of being in town.Breakfast was wonderful.Full English for him every day and really nice scrambled egg for me. There was tea, coffee, toast, fruit, yogurt and cereal for those that wanted it.Andrew and Clare are lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble.We are returning in September for a 2nd visit

4 night trip to Weymouth from end of May to start of June as part of a large Family group spread over a few B&B's and Hotels. Think we struck gold with the Mayfair however. B&B itself was excellent. Decent size room with comfortable double bed with complimentary tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Lovely sandy beach literally opposite the location. Can't fault the breakfast for quality, service and options. Andrew & Clare however made the stay a joy and is what prompts me to say 'the best ever'. Both friendly and helpful. Both genuinely want to help you make the stay memorable. I stupidly forgot my shorts on the hottest weekend so far this year & instead of the expected directions to a good shop, Andrew insisted that I borrow a pair of his. Unbelievable generosity that impressed us all & warranted the "landlords shorts" joking for the rest of the stay. Will not hesitate to book again when returning to Weymouth. Well done to both.

Can’t fault the Mayfair at all, totally recommend. Booked along with two other couples (family). Clean, neat rooms & such a lovely, warm welcome by Andrew & Clare. This remained throughout our stay where they couldn’t do enough for us. Not forced but genuine friendliness. Forgot my shorts and instead of the expected directions to a shop to buy some, Andrew insisted that I borrow his. Absolutely above & beyond! Breakfast cannot be faulted at all, 10 out of 10. Never left a review on here before but with the Mayfair, it just can’t be skipped. Would love to return mainly because of the warm, helpful owners. Many thanks! Colin & Sarah. Stayed here many times before with previous owners. But can not fault Andrew & Clare. Great breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, covid safe. Recommend room 12 if you don’t mind climbing 49 stairs. Will be returning same time next year.

We stayed 3 nights after re-opening on the 17th May. Although the weather was hit and miss, Andrew & Clare made every effort to make us feel comfortable.Nice tea & cake upon arrival in their lounge (it looks very newly decorated so quite impressed). Breakfast was amazing, everything you can ask for! Locally sourced (which my husband loves) eggs, bacon and sausages. Great choice of yoghurts for me too.Beds were super comfy, and overall really cosy to stay in. We don't normally post on tripadvisor but we thought the stay was so good and the owners were absolutely lovely!Shame we had to leave but we'll definitely be back at the next possible chance.

A lovely welcome at The Mayfair. Cosy, comfortable, charmingly decorated, caring owners, brilliant night's sleep, top-class breakfast, and a beautiful beach on the doorstep - what more could you want?! Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights here, and we couldn't have hoped for a better stay. I would indeed be very sad if the next time we visit they were fully booked. If you need a place to stay in Weymouth, then I highly recommend the Mayfair. We had a room with a great sea view (the room was spotless btw) and it's really well located in the centre of town. The owners are really friendly and were keen to be as helpful as possible. Excellent breakfast was the icing on the cake.

Stayed at the Mayfair when they opened back up on 17th May and have to say the hosts Claire and andrew have done a great job since taking over.The seaviews are amazing, location is spot on and the rooms are lovely and cosy. The breakfast was top notch and set us up for the day ahead for exploring the area.

The hosts were very welcoming and informative about what to do and what to see in Weymouth. They arranged cheaper parking permits for our car and also said they would refund them if we didn’t use them. They took extra precautions during the Covid crisis to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort during the stay.

Set right in the centre of Weymouth. Cleanest we’ve stayed in for a while. Hosts were very helpful during stay and did a good breakfast even though it had to be in the room.
